研究学園都市を目指す小牧市の郊外、緑豊かなロケーションに広がる、名古屋造形芸術大学・名古屋造形芸術短期大学。起状に富んだ丘陵地の地形をそのまま生かしたキャンパスは、実に11万平方メートルもの広さで、東京ドーム8個分という広大なスケールです。徹底した現場主義を唱える本学では、工房を大学・短大の共有施設として、美術とデザインの分野の垣根を越えて活用し、各学科のカリキュラムはもちろん、教員やアトリエ・工房間の交流、相互分野の交流などが活発に行われています。また、もう一つのアトリエとして学生がフリータイムに活用するなど、専門とは異なる分野を体験することによって、一人ひとりの創作意欲を高め、未知の才能を見出す場となっています。本格的な設備がそろうそれぞれの工房では、教授をはじめとする教育スタッフも創作活動に取り組んでおり、より高度な美術・デザインの実技に直接ふれることができ、まさに理想的な創造環境が整っています。

College of Art and Design and Nagoya Junior College of Art and
Design are located in outskirts of Komaki city, the city of
research and institutions. The green environment of rolling
hills is the site of the campus. There is a workshop as a common
ground for 2year and 4year colleges in the middle of spacious
campus of 80 Tokyo Dome size. Our school value fundamental training
along with hands on activities. The workshop serves as the mutual
space to exchange ideas and approaches on art and design for
the students and faculties of various courses. It serves also
as an alternative studio for students during the non-reserved
time. Having this kind of vital space to work and learn from
inter-curricular exchanges on campus, we find all people gather
here gain creative enthusiasm and find new potential. Independent
studios with full equipments are available for students as well
as faculty who also are working artists. Our ideal is to provide
the best environment for all involved to take art and design
to a higher standard. We strive to maintain a rich realm of
creativity. |
